Looking for a very basic smartphone for parents.

Can anyone recommend a really basic smartphone for people who are not at all tech savvy but want the large touch-screen? Or are there dumbphones that emulate smartphones?

Depends on HOW basic you want... There is a very basic smartphone from Jitterbug that does everything they seem to need, without all the extras. From there, they may be able to graduate to a pure Android phone. I hope this helps
