Looking for an app to schedule silent mode

iamloco724

so what i want to do is have my phone set to silent automatically during certain hours

i still want to get notifications on my texts but just want it to automatically silence my text sound during certain hours

the app has to let my alarm go off and i want to hear my ringtone for phone calls just no text sounds during those hours

would like something simple to use nothing too complex

would also be a plus if i could add exceptions that i can hear text alerts for certain people but this isnt necessary

any suggestions greatly appreciated

I use an app called Hush that will do pretty much all you are asking for I think.

I highly recommend downloading Shush from the Play Store! (Slightly different than what djlld is referring to.)

Shush kicks in when you turn your volume all the way down. You get a pinwheel that will ask you for how long to silence the phone. You can turn the wheel to silence for "xx minutes" or by time of day to reactive volume. Or shush it until told otherwise. It is very intuitive and easy to use.

I use "Timeriffic". I does what you need. You can set as many profiles as you like, with a title, for Mon. thru Sun. and for what times. You can control ringer, ring vol., media vol., system vol., wifi, airplane mode, vibrate, notification vol., alarm col. brightness and bluetooth. I have 11 differrent profiles that I use. If you don't need one, just uncheck it and its deactivated.

Tasker does everything you want. Use it to set the notification tone either to silent or the volume to zero. You can also set exceptions. Costs a few bucks but you will use it for so much more.
