Looking for an app to turn off and on sync

I'm looking for an app that basically allows all automatic data transfer to be stopped unless asked for while off of WiFi, and then for it to be wide open when WiFi is available. A switch preferably. Thanks.

A switch will not do it if you want it to automatically switch while in range of WiFi. It would have to be a profile manager like tasker or setting profiles or something similar.

I have a Tasker profile on my HTC Desire to do this very function; as I have no data plan, auto-sync is set to occur only when wi-fi is connected, either at home, or public. I like Tasker b/c it's a very versatile app to create a variety of settings on your phone http://tasker.dinglisch.net/index.html.

Downloaded and haven't stopped playing with Tasker since. Thanks alot guys, this solved my problem and a list of others.
