looking for an application

hello, i own a galaxy s2 plus (i9105p) and i am new to android and samsung too. the battery life is really lousy (8 hours average). i was wondering if anyone can point me to an application that can do the following:

when i shut off the screen (the button on the right)

1. switch from 3g, 3.5g, wcdma to GSM
2. shutdown mobile data (either on gsm/gprs/edge or wcdma)
3. disable sync
4. activate power saving.

and when i press the button again to pass from gsm to wcdma, open mobile data activate sync. basically the opposite.

please know that i am not accostumed to sophisticated application and i would really appreciate an answer that can point me to a simple application that does that (paid or not).

thank you

Tasker (on sale for $2 instead of the usual $6.49 as I type) can very likely handle this - or most of it. It is not the easiest app to use, but it is not too hard to get the hang of. Also, there is a whole thread section dedicated to tasker on this forum and the people who post there are really helpful.

Automateit has a free version and MIGHT be able to do most or all of what you want. But tasker is more robust (and in my opinion a little more complex).
