Looking for auto sync / transription voice recorder

JJese

Lurker
I am looking for a voice recorder app that will transcribe "voice to text" the recording and then auto upload (sync) the transcription to an email of my choosing. Does anyone know of such an app?

It's right there, built into most email apps afaik when you compose or reply to an email, JJese: bottom row, third key from the left. A mic! Tap it, and dictate your message. Ta-dah!

This is from the Yahoo! eMail app.

Except that isn't working. If I pause for more than a few seconds, the dictation stops. This is very frustrating and I don't see any settings to change that. I'd like to be able to give a command such as "finish" when I'm actually finished.

Well, it isn't working for YOU, it appears.
Nothing wrong with Android's dictation functionality.

Yes, it's set for people who run off at the mouth. Not for slow speakers.

Then either adapt, or don't use it and keep typing. Your choice.

Yes, that's how the first automated dictation machines worked. I see you were there. But times have apparently changed.
