Looking for custom sound scheme

So, I'm coming to the LG Optimus Extreme (L40G with Android 4.0.3) from the Nokia e71. While I love having a huge screen with access to tons of apps and an OS that people still know how to work with, I've lost a lot of the wonderful functionality built-in to a business phone (as the e71 was originally supposed to compete with BlackBerry).

One thing I'm missing are the sound settings. On the e71, sound/vibrations settings for texting, e-mails, ringing, calendar alarms, etc could all be controlled independently through the phone's basic sound settings as well as the ability to set custom profiles for all of these (for example, I tend to get a lot of text messages so I had a profile that set the texting to vibrate only but left full sound on for every single other function).

My new phone is incredibly lacking in these options (mine lumps "notifications" together as a single sound option). Now, I've heard people say "just change the settings in the corresponding apps", but I tend to just use the default ones (after all, why would I install apps for texting, e-mail, etc if the phone does those already). I have seen a few apps in the store that could help with this but wanted to get some opinions from people who know more than I do to make the right choice for me. Here are the apps I've found:

-Profiles: Looks ok, other than that it's old. However, seems to lump all "notification" sounds together and that is exactly my problem. Like the "profile" ability though. Very much like my Nokia.
-Light Flow: Seems to be able to control sounds for a number of events, but has a lot of extra fluff with all the colored light crap that I do not need. I'll use it if I have to, but meh. Also, don't see an option to set "profiles"/groups of different settings. Also sounds like it can be quite the memory hog for me just wanting to adjust a few sounds.
-Tasker: Looks like an insanely customizable app. Again, not sure if this is overkill, but will use it if people recommend it.

I've looked at each of these in the app store and around the forums here, but it's sometimes hard to judge if apps have the exact functionality I need. So, I am looking for opinions on any of the above or even some new suggestions. Also, sorry this is to long-winded, just wanted to give all the details.

Want: App for Android 4.0.3 that lets you independently control the sound/vibration settings for texting/e-mail/ringing, etc
