Hi all! I like to consider myself tech savvy but this latest issue with my LG G3 through Verizon has me stumped. Now all of the time when clicking on the home button after being in an app, I get a box that says "select home" and it lists either home or easyhome. I choose home with the box checked below it saying use as default app. Oh yeah, I was forced to download the new Lollipop system yesterday as well. Any tips for this issue? Thanks much!

Try doing a factory reset.This will fix issues like yours most of the time.

First you could try going to settings, applications, ALL, find "easyhome" and disable it
The disable is grey. Unable to click on it..

Hmm. As a long shot last ditch attempt can you go to Settings, applications, menu (or three dot icon) and hit "reset app preferences" and see if that fixes it?

If not I think you're gonna have to try a factory reset as AMOCO said unless anyone has a better suggestion
No it wasn't. I went into backup & reset and click on reset settings. So far, so good! No clue what could have changed! Noticed that I'm almost always 3G now too, which is frustrating. No clue what could be causing that either.So wasn't this happening before the lollipop update?

No idea mate sorry. You should ask that in the g3 forum and see if it's a common issue 
I'd start sorting out Helium Backup now.
If you get more weird complaints then your operating system caches probably got tangled in the update and a factory data reset is in your future.
Having a backup reduces the pain.
