looking for new phone

Looking for a new phone with android 2.2 or later im swaying towards the nexus S but the dell streak 5 also looks very good now it has been updated to 2.2 froyo .
im looking for one with a decent spec ie good processor and so on
Some of the htc phones also looked good but the sense ui annoys me is there any way of getting rid of that?
my price range is 25/30 , I Don't mind going pay as you go though

I definitely recommend the Google Nexus S! It is an amazing phone! Ive only had for a few weeks and I already love it! The best of Android! The only problem is the price..........
 
well in terms of the phone, the t mobile g2x is a great phone. it has the best processor on the market (arguably). the NVIDIA tegra 2 dual core processor. it ships with 2.2 with a 2.3 update soon there after.
 
Nexus S has the hardware of 2010 and a few shortcomings.
T-Mobile G2X is a good powerful phone, but it is limited to T-Mobile.
If you want the more generic version, take LG Optimus 2X.
 
If you're fairly competent with technology, and you're okay with risking your phone, you can always root it. I say this, because you're not alone in the "sense" that you don't like HTC Sense. If you just want vanilla Android out of the box, you'll have to go the Nexus S route. Otherwise, you can either get an EVO and root it immediately, wait a month or two and get the 3D upon release, or try a Droid device. Being a bit of a Sprint fanboy, I lean towards the EVO line anyway. The EVO 4G has last year's hardware, but is still a solid phone. If you want top-of-the-line, I'd wait 1-2 months for the 3D, but that might be out of your price range. :/ In any case, there are root methods for getting rid of HTC Sense, unless I am forgetting that you can just disable it anyway. Anyway, I hope this helped a bit.
