Looking for some tips

New to the Evo just wanted to know, when i first get it what should i do to get the best out of the batt life? Drain it then charge it, or should i just throw it on charge for some amount of hours first. I have heard different things from people and just wanted some tips.

Also at night when not using the phone should i turn the phone fully off does that help in anyway or is it ok to just have the phone on all the time and never turning it off.

I would probably follow this 20 tips to improve HTC EVO 4G battery life . If you have battery issues after that there are tons of threads here that have lots of good suggestions for better battery life.
