Looking for Sound Toggle for Lock Screen on Kit Kat

Hi folks,

Tonight I updated my RAZR MAXX HD from 4.1.2 to 4.4.2. It was a big surprise to loose the little sound slider on the lock screen that toggled the sound from "off" (for me, vibrate) to "on" (reverting to whatever the regular sound levels were).

I use that slider at least 10 times per day as I go into and out of meetings. But, it's gone now and I don't know how to get it or something like it back, on Kit Kat.

I've checked the various lock screen widgets, and haven't found any that seem to do the job.

On Kit Kat, how do you toggle the sound on/off, from the lock screen? Is there an app I should download that would restore that function? It's hard to believe this critical feature could just go away, so I'm guessing I'm missing something simple.

Thanks!

Marc

Doesn't the volume buttons work? AFAIK a long press of the volume down and volume does that.

Edit. Sorry that was a setting I made. For stock, a long press of the power button shows options for silent, mute and vibrate. No luck for you?

This works, but it takes more effort and time than just a single finger slide. After having an elegant single slide, easily doable with just one finger (if the screen was on), I miss the nice feature. I'll try the power toggles mentioned above and report back.

Install that. On the lock screen, slide the lockscreen from the left edge to the right. (If you slide from the right edge to the left, it starts the camera.)

Hit the plus on the screen. You should see this as a widget. When you add it, add a toggle for volume (and whatever else you want.)

I've installed Power Toggles and added a volume slider, but to use it in practice, I have to unlock the phone. I use a pattern lock, BTW. When I tap on the volume slider button, it shows me the unlock dots pattern. I have to enter my pattern to get to the actual slider.

All I want is on the lock screen a sound on/off that I can just hit without unlocking the phone. There's gotta be something out there that does this...

Any further ideas, or am I not setting up the Power Toggles correctly?
(BTW, how do you REMOVE things from the standard power toggle bar? I added my volume thing, but couldn't remove the seven other things on it)

Aha! I got mixed up between volume slider and volume toggle. Looks like the slider requires unlock but the toggle itself on the lockscreen works a treat without needing to unlock. I'll explore more....

I figured out how to remove extra toggles, now I'm down to just figuring out how to get this bar of lockscreen toggles onto my main lockscreen (the one with the clock on it). Still figuring my way around new features in kit kat...
