Looking for wireless charging suggestions

Since I seem to have terrible luck with micro usb ports falling in phones I would like to get a QI receiver and charging pad. The problem is there are so many to choose from I don't know which one to get. I do keep my phone in an Otterbox defender case and have stumbled across some reviews here and there saying that it does work but would like to know if anyone here has a similar case and what receiver and pad they went with.

Thanks.

Thanks. Do you have a url to the charging receiver you bought on eBay? There are a lot of them.

Good find! Good luck with your setup and remember to respond back after a few weeks of using it to follow-up and let everyone know how it's working out in case they're looking for a wireless set-up as well.

So I got everything and it does work with the Otterbox Defender installed. :)

But, I don't get a notification saying wireless charger in range and it shows in the status that I'm connected to an AC charger. I also noticed after the phone was done charging and the LED turned green, the LED on the charger didn't shut off.

Glad to hear it's working for you... particularly with your Otterbox.

My setup is different than yours, but I don't get any notification that my phone and charger are within range of each other either. I do have a white light on the charger that will indicate what the charging status is. If the light is lit solid, it's charging. If it blinks slowly, it's fully charged. If it blinks rapidly, it detects the phone, but the phone's not sitting on the charger square enough to charging to take place. Also, the LED on the phone is a good indicator of what's going on as well.

I have to admit, there have been a couple times that I've set my phone on the charger only to come back hours later and found that it didn't charge. But, the light's blinking quickly and I didn't notice it. So... user error. I just have to take better notice of the light.

I experimented with it some more today. The LED on the charger never starts slowly blinking. Even after the phone showed charged for over an hour (green LED) the charger LED was still solid white. The phone was still pretty warm too.

I wonder if I should try a different receiver. I ended up ordering one from Amazon instead of the one on EBAY. I got a white one.
