Looking to fawrd my aol mail to gmail

im looking to foward my aol email to gmail so i could use morefeatures on the droid when i get it..my problem is i dont see any forward settings in aol mail so i did it through gmail but i have one problem its not updating instantly like i get mail at aol but its not in my gmail i have to wait till they check and its not checking often

In GMail, go to Settings, then Accounts and Import. The top option is to import mail from AOL. This will bring your old AOL emails into GMail along with the AOL contacts. It's also supposed to continue forwarding any new email sent to AOL directly to GMail for the next 30 days.

I believe there is also a setting in the same place to select how often you want gmail to check for more mail in your aol account.
