looking to get a shift bb user currently

Hello all,

i have been a long time bb user and have the bb 8350I with nextel 2 way and am consdiering the evo shift i was wondering from those that have made the switch how happy are you? Thanks for the help

I just made the switch from having a blackberry curve for 2 years to the shift. For the few hours I've had the shift its going great. There is a lot to learn but I having a lot of fun. Adjusting to the keyboard was odd at first but as I use it more and more the adjustment is going fine.
 
My wife has been using a BB for a year and just got an EVO shift.

She was worried about losing BBM but after only a DAY of using the shift and see all that android can do... she has forgotten about it.

Had the 8350i from day 1 until December and then went to the Style . On January 10 I ordered the shift and now RIM is a memory. I went thru 4 bb's since 2001 so there are a few things I dearly miss like the keyboard short cuts while typing and how it felt organized. The battery life was better but then it wasn't the beast this guy is. The media sync was smoother and mail push was better.

But holy saints, I have no lag anywhere. Battery pulls are no longer! Shifty (that's his name) can handle more than I throw at it. I have been through the forums finding all the features I missed and brought them over. I had played around with the LG I bought my husband 2 months ago so I had a feeling that if I could get an EVO with a slideout I'd be at the store. The Epic felt like a tank and I returned still sealed in factory casing.

It's sad that a company who set the smartphone standard can no longer keep up. I highly recommend giving the Shift a try. I doubt you'll want to give it back. Nothing like the smell of new electronics ...lol
