Hey, what are some phones that at&t has that are android? I was looking on their site and it looks like they only have 7 phones, and the best one seemed to be the captivate. But I'm not sure so what do you guys think?

If you can wait they have 20 coming out this year.

Personally I said 'eff it'

I am using captivate now and love the thing. Just got it today.

Mine doesn't even seem to need a lagfix.

With that said.. there are a lot of complaints over captivate.

Know what your getting into. With any phone. No phone is perfect and there are more than enough complaints floating around about all of them.

The two available now that are half way decent:
Samsung Captivate (Negatives: No Camera Flash, GPS can be iffy, Often laggy.)
Motorola Bravo (Negatives: Only 3MP Camera w/o Flash, some don't like MOTOBLUR)

You can also wait just a little while for:
Motorola Atrix (dual core CPU, 4" qHD screen, several docks)
HTC Inspire (AT&T's EVO)
Samsung Infusion (4.5" screen, 8MP Cam)

If you do decide to wait, you may want to wait until there are some reviews..

Or.. I suppose more importantly there are some complaints.

Also..I feel the aria deserves a mention..

Its not spectacular.. but, I hear its amazing for a 600 mhz processor.

Yeah, the Aria isn't bad - as long as you keep a charger or spare battery handy.

I have heard people say its great on batterylife.

With that said, I think a charger or spare battery is more or less a prerequisite for any phone these days.

Not an Evo. Desire HD with AT&T branding.

Of the currently available Android phones, the Aria is the best performing. It's not big and flashy like the Captivate, but it works.

I had a Captivate for 6 months, it's laggy and unresponsive. Sold it on ebay over the weekend. I'll never buy another Samsung phone.

But, if you can't wait, there's plenty of great phones coming.

1.5GB of internal storage is rather small when comparing it to the 16GB of the Motorola ATRIX or Samsung Infuse.

Also the 1230mAH battery is laughable at best.

The inspire has 4g on board and a 8g memory card installed which equals 12 on the phone so only 4 less. Also the battery lasts a day ( and if you have to you can vet the thunderbolts 1400mhz ;)

Yep.

I doubt I'll need the card but it's there if I do.

If I decide to move my music over, that is when I'll use it.

Just wait for the Atrix, everything else is kibbles & bits in comparison.

Again, Motoblur = pretty poor, and the webtop/desktop features are impractical to anyone who has a nice laptop/desktop.

the Atrix has no usability, only whopping specs.

Beyond that, it's come off very poorly in all of its hands on videos.

I have no interest in it unless it blows me away in hand. The inspire is the device right now.
