Help Looping home screen

LG 34C Optimus Fuel android 4.4 when I press + hold an app icon, the home screen begins looping automatically. It used to hold steady unless I dragged the icon to the edge + the home screen would change. I disabled home screen looping, but no change. Really tough to arrange the app icons when it takes off by itself the moment I press + hold. Any suggestions?

Do you have a screen protector? Sometimes when screen protectors get all banged up and lots of scratches, it sometimes goes haywire with touches and seems to make the screen think there are multiple touches.

Yes, I am using a screen protector, but it's in real good shape. Guess I'll try removing it if no other ideas. Thanx

You could try checking with a different launcher.

Got it, under "gestures" had a check after "move home screen icons by tilting phone". Not sure how it got there, but since I'm the only one using it, that narrows it down.
