Got my 5X yesterday. It's a great phone, love the fingerprint scanner, but it has one big problem: The USB-C cable doesn't fit snugly into the charging port. It's loose, it slips out if I just hold the phone up, and even worse if I wiggle the cord a little bit it stops (or starts) charging. Last night I plugged it into the charger, this morning it hadn't charged a bit and even though the plug was in the socket the battery indicator didn't have the "charging" lightning bolt in it. So I wiggled the cord a bit, it started charging, then I had to let it sit a while before it had enough charge to use.
Does anybody else have this problem? I'll have to return this phone, but I wonder if this is a common problem or if I just got a phone with a defective charging port (or maybe I got a defective USB-C cable, I don't have any others to test with).
If only this had wireless charging I wouldn't care, I still have two charging pucks from my Nexus 5 that I guess I'll have to give away.
