the temporary dialysis has been halted for the time being... last session was Monday.
Here we are on a Friday and her kidneys are recovered enough to not need dialysis. If they continue to perform like that, she can avoid the dialysis for another year or so.... Type II diabetes is not curable, it just steadily gets worse.
but, it is a nicer day for her.... I need to go out and refill the bird feeder again.. give her some more cheer.
The Wound Care folks just finished up cleaning her foot ulcer... that ulcer getting infected was what put her in the hospital in the first place. the wound is looking clean and healing... slow, but surely...
Diabetics have a suppressed immune system.
IMO, all of the prayers around the world are responsible for this improvement.
Once that wound is healed and the doctors will allow her to put weight on it again, she can get into her own wheelchair and then home.
much better than the Hospice Centers that I have been interviewing previously to this.
