Losing 4% battery life in 15 minutes.

I would play a little game called Pokemon Rumble Rush to kill free time for hours on my iPhone 8 and my two year old battery was fine. I played it on this brand new Galaxy s10 with the graphics set to the lowest, grainiest settings, on a tiny portion of my screen in pop up view and I lost 4% in 15 minutes after unplugging the phone at 100%. And it's not even this little game, I quit playing the game and just used Feedly, an rss feed viewer and I'm still losing power. Screen is on lowest brightness...I just can't stand how many issues I'm having with this 3 month old phone. Started days out of the box and just keeps getting progressively worse. Samsung Facebook chat had me wipe the partition cache, that didn't help. I have a huge blog post on all the bugs and glitches, this is a nightmare. https://therealredrosealways.blogspot.com/2020/01/my-regrettable-decision-to-buy-1000.html?m=1 The chat person said to take it to a store but when I fly back to the States next month, the nearest of the handful of "experience" stores is in New York City and I can't do that. I don't know what to do with this thing to try to get it to work.

I just have this page open and am watching my battery percentage drop...88%.....87%...... I'm just on chrome waiting for a reply and this thing is draining.

First let me ask you a question..this Samsung phone you complain about..from 100% to almost 0% charge...how many hours is the phone giving you?

Some phones and batteries function different from one another..

My point is..Analogy example:
Two muscle cars are in a race..one takes out really fast and quickly way ahead of the other..but the one behind..comes on top later on..and ends up winning ones it's power kicks in..
I'm sure you can see where I'm coming from..
So some phones and batteries..their strength is in the long run..

I've learn with batteries..some times at first hours of usage after unplug start discharging really quick..but boy, by the middle or last 10% that's where their endurance is at..

how is your wifi connection? strong? spotty? no matter what game i play on my note 10+, battery will drop 5-10%. and if you look over the long haul as @Xavier Black suggested the phone just keeps on ticking till i get home and then some.

Have you asked for a replacement? It's still under warranty, right?

When I had a problem with my phone, which I'd purchased directly from Motorola, last year, they overnighted a brand-new replacement.

I've never dealt with Samsung, but contacting them directly and insisting on a new replacement would be my first step.
 
Thanks, everyone! I put the phone down for the night around 4 am and around 87% battery, I woke up to the phone at 70% still which is good, it didn't just die down to 0. Thanks for the car analogy, I didn't realize batteries could be so different. I really want a Samsung tech to run tests on it and make sure I don't need a replacement but there isn't a store nearby to do that. How can I test to see if it is my connection while gaming is doing this? Is there a diagnostic app I can run?

Also, I want to make sure that all my widgets aren't doing anything to the battery. I've read that they only change when you look at them, and I'm not always flipping to the screens with them so they aren't always being refreshed but I want to make sure. I have two running in my notification bar: air quality and weather bug. Could those have any impact on my battery?
 
Glad I could help easing your mind..
And yes, I've read the weather widget uses resources to the top..but if you sry their frequency instead every hour..to every 6 hours..that would save you some..
Also make sure to disable every app you don't use at all..your that go to application manager then select system apps and go down the list one by one..
