Losing Text Messages

Hoping someone can help... I am having an issue with text messages disappearing on my Droid Eris. I can receive and see these messages in my notification bar, but when I click on the message in the notification or open the text messaging app, the message is gone forever.

This issue is happening both in the default messaging app and in Handcent. Any thoughts? Is there a setting I can't find that is causing this?

very strange, have you tried a battery pull yet?

scratch that, i found this using the search here

make sure your handcent is up to date and try that fix. let us know what happens

Thanks. Handcent is up-to-date, but I did update my settings based on the thread you suggested. If it seems to work, I will confirm here. Thanks again...

Looks like the settings in the other thread did the trick. I haven't had a lot of messages come in over the last two days, but none have been lost! If this changes I will repost, but all seems good now. Thanks again Caddyman.
