Help Losing WiFi

cit

Lurker
My LG 8.3 has been working fine for over a year but recently it's started losing wifi every few minutes. I have good signal level, I've used a sugnal analyser to check for channel interference and that's fine, I've tried it on other wifi networks, but same problem. Have to go into settings, select the wifi network and connect, fine for a minute or so then drops out again. Also uninstalled recent apps in case something was interupting the wifi. At a total loss for what to try next, the pad is virtually unuseable. I'm running Android 4.4.2. Anyone have any ideas??

Seems to me the wifi antenna might be going bad. Based on the info you've provided, I can't think of another reason it would act as such.

If you haven't already, try restoring it to factory default. If that doesn't work then it is definitely the antenna.

Thanks for your suggestions, signal level is excellent so don't think it's the antenna, but yes, the next step would seem to be a factory default reset.

Tried a reset, seemed to clear the problem, but a couple of weeks on it's back to disconnecting all the time. Time to give up and but a new tablet?
