Help Loss of 3G... sort of.

So recently I ported my number over to Google voice, because while I always had a reliable 3G connection, I wouldn't always have reliable calling and texting. For Google voice to work though, you need to deactivate your plan, and have it reactivated. OK. Done.

So I wake up this morning and turn on my phone, ready to reflash all of the custom firmware I initially put on it (because I had flashed a stock RUU before reactivation) and I thought, I should probably test everything out before I go on.

I go to try out Google Play (to download an app) and it says I don't have connection after a couple seconds. Now this is strange, because I have the little 3G up top. Along with that, it will place calls.

Now I'm well aware of the spotty connection you get with this service, but with this, I tried to open up the browser, and the Virgin Mobile site fully loads. (pretty fast too)

So I go to google, it redirects me to the Virgin Mobile site, again and again and again. Using wifi I tried to download the Speedtest App. On 3G I would consistently get "network connection error." And it wouldn't be able to connect.

So what do you guys think is up? I tried the updated radio and PRI, but they didn't help. So what should I do? Is there a specific fix? Or is Virgin Mobile going to get another call for a network reset?

:shot:

Just called into Virgin, they said there was a data problem in my area. Despite that... one of my relatives (who just so happens to live next to me and have the same phone [uses me for tech support too]) has 3G. I tested each one next to each other. Any ideas?

This is known as the "redirect of death", it's basically where you get sent to the Virgin Mobile website no matter what you try to do. All you have to do is call in to customer service and they reset your account on their end then you should be all set.
