Help Loss of Emails on Samsung Galaxy Ace

Fshrbcpp

Lurker
Why is it that emails disappear after a certain time once received. I wish to delete them manually after being answered as appropriate.

I'm not clear what you mean by Stock mail - but my main email account is ntlworld.com (default - via virgin media), and yahoo.co.uk on occasions. I do have a gmail account - again used on occasions. I can access all my emails via the gmail account through the web though but is a bit more faffing about. Hope that makes sense.

In Gmail there is a setting "Number of days to sync" - you find it here: In the menu in Gmail select More > Settings > Labels > Number of days to sync

Could this have something to do with your problem?

What i meant was, how are you accessing the Email. Is it the email app or the gmail app? or are you accessing mail though a web based email account?

I normally access via the email app (which includes ntlworld & yahoo accounts). But why do they disappear before I can action as appropriate.

You might want to check the settings of the accounts. Check leave copy on server is checked. If you use another way to check yr emails (outlook??) and that pulls in the emails then when the email app syncs they will dissapear. Dont know if this is your problem but it might be worth a check.
