Help lost 4g.

About 2 hours ago I lost all data....now, only 3g is popping up. Where did you go, 4g? How can I get you back??? I've tried airplane mode, to no avail.

Check your baseband version in Settings > About Phone. If LTE shows as Unknown, you were hit by the Metro update/defect somewhere along the way. Wipe your data, use Odin, and exchange the device under warranty.

It all depends.
if you go to corporate store, I believe they can expedite the process for you and swap it for you for $10. Or you can wait until they send you a new one through warranty mail, between one to two weeks. :)

Unfortunately no. We do not have the files that we need, and we have no way to get them other than a leaked TAR.

Well, I have good news. I used Odin to flash back to metro stock then BAM! I have 4g again. Will this happen again after I flash basix? (which ill do with the new one should I get it. :] )

Nope, it's unrelated. Sounds like it was just a temporary glit.

Hey just curious, is this a random problem? Or the OP did something to cause it? Anyway to prevent this?

This appears to be a random problem, yes. We have not found a cause. It has been occurring at least since April, if not before.

To those thinking its a problem with the basix rom, its not. It can happen on the stock rom also. If it happens on the stock rom, all you need to do is do a factory reset. But if you are on a rom such as Basix of Exodus then you need to flash the stock rom using odin and then it should be fixed.

Although we dont have a cause for this, im just curious is this a problem for rooted phones only? Thats how it seems as of now.
