Help Lost birthdays

drewdaman

Newbie
i recently upgraded from ice cream to jelly bean.

previously, i would see all birthdays in s planner. now, they are no longer there. however, on a day when it is soemone's birthday, i see a birthday cake icon on the home screen. if i click it, it takes me to s planner and the day is blank. earlier, i could see an event there and knew whose birthday it was. even if i laucnh s planner by itself, it does not show them if i go scrolling to a day i know it is someone's birthday.

i have the show birthdays set.

any ideas or similar experiences with jelly bean (as that is the only thing that has changed).

thanks!

Heisenberg,

Thank you for the response.

I take it this means you ran into this issue as well? Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a solution yet but must admit also that while I tried to find a solution before posting here, I have not spent a lot of time on it after that. Still very irritating though and would love to hear from folks if a solution is available!

More information:

-I synch contacts with gmail. Added new contact to google account with a birthday. It showed up in s planner.

-added new contact to phone. It showed up in s planner.

-editted birthday for an existing (gmail) contact. After editting it (and making sure it was set to save to google) it showed up in planner.

In a nutshell, any new information added anywhere is working but existing information is botched. It looks like an upgrade bug to me.

I recently got the jelly bean update to my S3 on AT&T and the birthday icon doesn't show up. This is very frustrating because I missed two birthdays :(

If someone has a fix for this please post it!

Thank you!
