Root lost camera flash

About 2 weeks ago I rooted my motion. Things been doing great till I used the camera today. I took several pics in dark area and flash is almost non existent. Tried on auto flash and with flash on. Ideas?

Have you used pimp my rom? I don't anymore, but I know I applied one of the tweaks and my flash wouldn't work til I removed the tweak. Just an idea

No. All I did was root the phone. Removed most of the apps listed as safe here. Installed the recovery that's here and a few apps from play store. Other than that its all stock

I don't know, maybe something from the bloatware removal? I don't remove hardly any bloatware. Mainly the metro crap and the other ones I rarely use. I also remove all the stupid ring tones ro help free up some system space. I don't like removing some stuff cause they might be used in the background to assist with other features. Plus to me too much removal can cause system instability. Just because it's safe to remove (i.e. won't brick or give morning call error) doesn't necessarily mean they're good to remove

i say check the file that controls the flashlight. its usually in the /sys/ file i dont have the motion so i can't go farther than that. maybe the permissions aren't set right?

My backup phones camera completely went out on me even after flashing new firmware. I think it has something to do with the actual device. I think if you use it too much it causes problems. That little light is bright as f. Just throwing that out there I really have no clue what could be wrong.
