Help LOST CAMERA ROLL SG6 ACTIVE

I went to create an album and when I did it appears that my camera roll is now missing. I'm technically disadvantaged when it comes to all this stuff, but I'm really desperate to locate my camera roll. I know I did not delete it, but where could it be? I need step by step dummy-proof instructions here is someone could kindly assist me! Thanks.

I'm kinda unclear what you mean by "camera roll"?
Do you mean your pictures?

How exactly did you create this "Album"? That may shed some light on what happened

As far as what @glc stated, go to your apps and you should have an app called "My Files" or something similar. It is a file browser where you can check the files on your device, or your sd card (if applicable).

Navigate to this file path..../storage/emulated/0 (or even /storage/emulated/legacy), then to the DCIM file...that's where your pictures should be.

with ES file explorer I checked my sd card , DCIM, no photos there. I can't remember how I created an album.. I am totally bummed

They don't happen to be in that album you created are they?
What app do you use to view them? Your Gallery app?

Yes - I use the Gallery app. I used to have hundreds of photos there, but now only a few recent
