Lost charger

I lost my mobile charger for LG G2 so I tried to charge it with HTC charger but it was charging very slow and the charger was overheating. 1st question: Why my HTC charger isn't suitable for LG G2? 2nd question: Which charger should I buy(which specifications to look for)?

Likely either the charger's output voltage or current is out of spec, or the cable you were using isn't capable of fast charging. Too many variables really.

The link I provided in that thread is for a VZW US model. If you are located somewhere else, then the specific model will be different with a different plug to go into the wall.

I would stick to an OEM charger. If you still have your OEM cable, then you can get what you need a little cheaper. The one on eBAY I pointed to comes with the cable.

The charger that Verizon sells assuming u have a Verizon G2 charges fast that is the one I use since a squirrel ate my charger.

I found 2amp charger for 10$ in a local mobile shop. Should I buy it?

Personally, I would stick with the proper OEM charger. IMHO, for a few dollars savings, a generic is simply not worth it.
