Help Lost Gmail Icon Galaxy J3

I tried to move the icon from a folder ? with Google apps and the icon went bye bye. I have tried fixes from a
Google search and it really is not around anywhere ?
Any suggestions ? I don't want to reset the thing and start over.

An icon doesn't disappear unless you uninstall it. Check your app drawer. If you find it, press and hold it then place it where you like on your home screen.

Google search won't locate apps on your phone unless you gave it permission to use Google Now, which allows you to search for files, contacts & apps using the Quick search box.

I got another app from Play Store.
I tried to find the thing and it is totally gone fro everywhere I looked.
It will probably pop up some day when I forgot about it.

Did you look at Gmail's entry in Play Store? If it wasn't on your device it'd say FREE.

Your app was removed without your knowledge. Don't overlook a symptom that could mean your phone's compromised.

Check to make sure about Gmail. Samsung builds GAPPS atop its own software. It's not supposed to be gone.
