lost google tool bar

I put the google tool bar that sit's on desktop in the trash and I'm not sure how to get it back.

What tool bar are you talking about ... "NOT the Notification Bar"

Maybe you mean the google Search Widget ...?

Go to you Apps tray or Widget tray if you use some non-default HOME app ...
and drag the "Search" app back onto a blank spot on a desktop screen

hold your finger down on the home screen somewhere, and a window will pop up. select "widgets" and google search (along with some others) will be listed there.
