Help Lost HTC One M9

pinzy

Lurker
Hello,

Unfortunately I lost my phone last Sunday :(
It was not locked, because I tried something some hours before I lost it and didn't lock it afterwards (I know I'm an idiot)

After I realized it is not there I tried to use the android device manager to lock it and later to completely wipe it, but it looks like none of these actions was working.
When I go to the android device manager I see that my phone was online today. (Location is not activated, therefore I cannot see where it is)
Also on the following page I see that my phone is still online sometimes: https://myaccount.google.com/security#activity
I also tried to check the activities of the phone here: https://myactivity.google.com/myactivity
I didn't find an option to see the activity per device so I checked it by myself, but I looks like none of the activities mentioned here took place with my lost device.

I already changed the passwords of all the accounts connected to my phone.

Is there anything else I can do?

Thanks

I already told my carrier and locked my old sim card. I knew that it is possible to locate the device by IMEI, but I thought I don't have this number anymore, till I just saw it in my google dashboard. So I'll contact my carrier tomorrow again, maybe they are able to locate it.

I already 2 step verification and changed all my passwords (not just Google passwords)

What I cannot understand is, why is it still online after i wiped it in Android Device Manager?
Shouldn't it be completeley erased after it was online the first time?
But it is only online in the android device manager and the my activity google page, but for example in the google dashboard, play store or google chrome history the last entries are from Saturday. If I wanted to do some bad things one of the first things would be to open google chrome.
(I tried to do the same thing with an older HTC One M8, there I couldn't reproduce this behavior.)
