Lost my eris. What to do?

I lost my phone during a trip.
My biggest concern is someone accessing my google account and browsing and altering private information.
Unfortunately, I did not install any remote wipe application.
I changed the password to my google account, but does this prevent someone from accessing my google account?
Please let me know if there is anything else that I can do.
