In 1st smartphones especially Palm OS, lock screen has owner's message , allow user to saying anything they want to whom got da phone. I used to leave my parentz phone number n telling whom got da phone shall hv reward if returned.
I wonder why android do not hv dis simple function?
Taking quite note in Treo (PalmOS) will only require a split second to press da button n loads up ready to type, while Android has to rely on other apps n without shortcut buttons to assign dis simple task?

ES Security Manager has that function, you can also lock via text message.

Yeah, it seems like a basic function and would be a nice touch without the need for a 3rd Party app.
