Help Lost phone found

About 6-8 months ago my sis lost her LG Motion and insurance replaced it. I just found it and wanted to know if I can put it back in service or sell it without her getting in trouble for a false claim or other backlash. Also is there a way to get around the security pattern because she forgot what it was.

I'd imagine with the insurance claim, it was listed as stolen, so it won't be able to be re-activated.

I believe that a factory reset will clear the pattern. Then you (or your sister) can use it as an MP3 device.

I tried booting to recovery but just got safe mode and still needed the pattern. Any help how to boot to recovery on the motion w/o root?

You don't actually boot to a recovery on the motion. There's a key combo (can't remember what it is now that will boot to recovery, but all it does is factory reset.

Today while trying differnt boot combos I got a screen that had a tiny pic that said downloading do not disconnect. Well I wasn't connected to anything not even WiFi. So I left it alone for. A hour and came back to same screen and nothing happened. I on the right path and what should ido?

I believe that's the download screen. @Sammyz would know better than I though. Why don't you pm him. He is hanging out in the L9 forums now, I think.

Try: Power + Volume Down + Home button

Hold them when the phone is off, it should boot but don't let go.

Now if the phone is on C Version Firmware, your basically screwed. It didn't come with feature.

Power on volume up keep holding up until factory reset shows up then push power...twice I think in, in download mode to get out of it just pull battery no harm no foul, I have never heard of c version not having it

To do a hard reset turn your phone off and turn it on by holding the power+vol up and instantaneously start tapping the the back and home touch keys repeatedly while still holding power+vol up. Use to have this phone.

Edit: maybe power+ vol down try both
