Google changed the trick / exploit in Android versions beyond 2.3 (Gingerbread) that allowed remote installation and usage after remote install of apps like Plan B to work. I'm guessing your S3 is running a much newer version of Android that would make that option unavailable I'm afraid .
You might try contacting your carrier and see if they could triangulate (via their cell towers) it for you (I've never heard of anyone doing that, however), but you'd at least want to report it lost so that no one else will be able to use your number and minutes, etc.
