Please help!! I moved (not copied) all my photos/videos from my tablet to an sd card and now they have vanished. They were on the sd card at one point coz I checked. I think I may not have removed the sd card safely n so can't find the pics anywhere. Have I lost them for good or can I get them back?? I have a cnm android 9.7 ice cream sandwich. Thanks

I would put your card in a card reader and check in windows if you can see them or not. If you can immediately create a folder in your documents folder and drag and drop the files to that folder this way you have a copy for the future.
If you cannot see anything on the card then at a command prompt type:
chkdsk x: /f /r <--- Replace x with actual drive letter of sdcard.
sometimes when you do not unmount properly it leaves a messy file system and windows will need to repair it.
After the chkdsk has run check to see if you can see your files then
If not then do nothing else to the SDCARD and come back here and either PM me or leave a comment here and I'll take you through the next phase of recovery.
