Root lost root access to my Galaxy S3 i9305.

In your second post you mentioned wanting to remove some of the bloat on phone. Did you remove any and if you did, did you use uninstaller app? Mine has recycle bin and if you tried to delete kinguser that way you may be able to restore it from recycle bin

Think need to find a way to reinstall kinguser app. All attempts so far either from apk or zip from cwm recovery have failed due to permissions or conflicting signatures or something.

Yea, I was thinking that you have to get it working again then either live with it or try Super-Sume again to replace it. You have SuperSu installed as system app now and from what I've read, they don't play nice together. Can you access settings on SuperSu, if so should be option to clean up uninstall for install of another Su
 
Can't get into supersu. It normally force closes if that's the right term. It's like I'm almost rooted but not if you know what I mean. Have custom recovery and all that but can't get any super users to play nice. Need to find a wall and bang my head against it!
 
I would try switch super user app under cleanup then try to get kinguser to work again. It shouldn't do anything but uninstall SuperSu.


I'm thinking that once you remove all traces of SuperSu, Sume and reboot phone that the original kingroot app that you used the first time to gain root will work again and have a working super user that you can replace the correct way instead of trying to flash over it

Fresh out of ideas that doesn't require a Windows OS pc and Odin. I use a 10 year old Dell running XP I picked up cheep just for phones. I read alot on this site and XDA and if I come across something that might help, I'll check back in.

Find out how to flash a properly rooted rom from recovery, and replace the mess you have.

That's what I'd do.

And for every other brand of phone out there, that's completely straitforward and simple.

I don't understand why it's a risk here but that's because it's been a while since I've rooted one of these.

I'm going to move this to the SGS3 forum, maybe someone there can walk you through doing that without bricking your phone.
 
I read online just a few minutes ago that some people was reporting kinguser disabled their Se for android. Not sure if that has been fixed in the newer versions of kinguser but I'm going to look into it.
 
The problem with flashing from a rooted rom or any rom would be that I'd have to factory reset my phone first before installing the rom with an unrooted and not sure if working properly cwm. Could end up relocking my device and having an unusable phone. At the moment it works Just don't have root privileges.
 
No no, custom recoveries don't need root to do a proper factory reset. Or I'm pretty sure they don't. It also wouldn't lock your device (brick?). I made a nandroid backup using a custom recovery before I was rooted, nothing went wrong. I would expect a factory reset should be fine as well

No I ment lose the unlocked carrier on the phone as I unlocked from t wankobile.
