Root Lost root :(

Newbie
Had to buy a new volt, came on zv4. I did the entire process to the word, installed the zv5 update Deodexed and now I do not have root. Yes I did install the supersu in recovery and it still did not work for me. Any Ideas?

I'd be so pissed, first I'll slap my wife and blame it entirely on her (jkjk im not married) burst out the door (of my moms house) speed to home depot (on my mongoose) to (5 finger) purchase a (Thor's) hammer so I can kill (holy crap the Volt goes so well with the Thor idea) it before it kills itself (the battery).
Kidding, hmm I really hope that I'm not the only one who threatens that crap out of a phone that just wont let me do what I know is entirely possible

Sorry about your Volt king, hopefully you got it going if you're like me and many others that wont stop until things are working correctly. This happened to me too except someone stole my awesome Volt that I put SO much time/work into>>
THANKS TO EVERYONE HERE- THIS COMMUNITY IS SO HIGHLY APPRECIATED.
I actually Hated the Volt as well as nearly every other device I've owned until this site and everyone supporting it gave me a complete 180 so thanks everyone Nice to meet you! What I really did after the first failed attempt was simply factory resetting my Volt via Settings and followed a suggestion (forgot who, but def a Volt user here) to format pretty much everything including External Storage (BACKUP everything somewhere else)
No idea how it helped but it worked and CM12 is AMAZING on our phones, so worth it.

Best of Luck!

@ryandroid: O.o lol

There have been problems with root on the deodexed zv5 ROM, but I thought they had been resolved.

You have two options: try to root it using one of the methods listed at the beginning of the rooting guide, or install a different ROM.

I had an issue with root in my previous deodexed build. I just posted the fixed version today. If you downloaded before today at about 10am EST you'll need to re-download again. Sorry about the issue

can we dirty flash this over the old zv5 deodex and just wipe dalvik and cache? I'm hoping that will allow me re-root.
