Lost SMS/Call receiving on F6

SO, Can not receive calls or texts?


I know, LOOOOOONG story, Feel free To skip down for a summary rather the whole story.

Calling out is fine, sending messages are fine. I have rooted on ms500i, have not done the system update that it's been nagging me to do. Phone was turned off for maybe 16 hours because I forgot to pay it . Payed this morning, was back on after a restart. Text a few people, two hours pass with no reply, didn't think much of it until my S/O text me an address and I never got it. Calls were fine, tried a "Service refresh" as they like to call it, tried removing SIM and battery. Finally after desperation, I factory reset, Still nothing.

Now, I had factory reset the day before because of the issue with the internal storage, I have done the flippy flop with the SD card which was working great but, I got ahead of myself and really crammed my storage to the edge. I had deleted a lot of stuff and was still cluttered internally (lol).

So any who, factory reset also took away root? Which I'm not a pro compared to people on the internet! But, I've been able to do basic trouble shooting and this is something I've never come across? On my other two LG phones, rooted no problems, resets, Still rooted.

Everything fine.


Now, can not receive anything. E-mail fine, all data fine. Just texts and calls.


Short story HERE-

1. Rooted phone (Did All the recoveries and such)
2. APP2ExternalSD
3. Factory reset (Which unrooted)
4. Rooted again with all the necessary stuff
5. Forgot to pay phone bill
6. Promptly paid phone bill
7. Sent out texts, made calls (It's Easter)
8. Never received any replies
9. Made several test calls/text from several other phones
10. Called metro, Service refreshed and "Hard" refreshed
11. Cleared all cache from phone and apps
12. Now have done a restore from initial root
13. Still NADA!

Any one have any Ideas?

I really need a resolution soon, I have work tomorrow and need my phone because Gamestop is slow as shit and I have yet got a phone at my desk yet! I need an open line for the spawn.

1) Factory reset removes anything you did to the phone since you it was first set up. That includes accounts, rooting, apps, pictures, music, etc. That includes the su and busybox binaries, so you lose root.

2) Call your provider - they probably have to reprovision your account. When they tell you it should be working, ask the rep if s/he can stay on the line with you and call you from another line. If your phone rings, it's fixed. (Texts and calls are both 2G, and your problem is incoming 2G.)

The only thing they told me to do if it wasn't fixed was to call back, so they could have give the issue to a technician. I've had to be passed to a tech twice in the past and I never get a call back.

I'll give them another call and see if there are any other options.

SO, If anyone had an update to any people that search this,

It ended up needed a replacement SIM Card, which I had to pay out of pocket for because the nearest corporate store was in one of the busiest parts of town during rush hour(S) (because I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area) only to find they wear conveniently out! HA They were out of the most common one.... ugh anyways. Went to a private one where they kindly discounted it and gave it to me, fixed it no problem.

Besides a very frustrating couple days and a lot of wasted gas, all was fixed with $5.
