lost text notification since Hangouts downloaded

[Android Question]

Motorola Bionic through Verizon: Ever since I downloaded Hangouts app, I lost my regular text notification sound. Volumes are up, texts work fine except the notification is the Hangouts one, which I don't like and is much harder to hear. I keep missing texts because of this.

Thanks for your help.
