Help lost the dialing pad

Hi, I'm new with this phone. The dialing pad for the phone seems to have disappeared, and I can't figure out how to restore it. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
 
When you say you lost the dialing pad do you mean when you are making a phone call to someone? If not go to your apps, click on the Phone app->then click on phone on the top left corner and you will see the dial pad.
 
When I need to make a call, there's no dialing pad, only "compose message" options. Also, the phone doesn't work on all screens, only the home screen. Is that supposed to be right? Anyway, under my apps, I don't see a phone app at all.
