Help Lost the display, but phone still functions

Bakfyr

HTC Sensation 4g was exposed to water. The display has gone dark, however the phone still functions normally. I can pull the 'ring lock' from memory, and can adjust the volume up and down (I can feel it vibrate when all the way down, and can hear the 'max' volume tones when presses all the way up). Phone can still receive calls, just can't see screen to answer.

Also, my home wireless router can see the phone connected to the network.

So, how can I access the file system directory wirelessly? I need to retrieve SMS (text) messages before recycling the phone.

I think the USB port must have been damaged, because HTC Sync doesn't see the phone connected to the PC, but it does charge the battery.

Is there better synching software besides HTC Sync? I've read it has issues, and maybe that's why it doesn't see my phone.

similar problem. My screen is "snowy", like a TV that has no reception. I also tried to link my phone to my PC also so I could delete aps hoping that might fix it but couldn't. the default connection is to charge phone and since you (we) have no screen, you can't change it so your computer can see it as another drive. You're USB port is probably fine.
