Help lost with account synching!

I have no idea how this all works and it has me freaked out. I have several email accounts, including two gmail accounts, and another email. They are all used for different things. For example one is our "family" email, another I use primarily for business stuff, and another for Facebook and internet crap. I do NOT want these all to link together! My wife was already giving me a hard time because I originally had my Facebook tied to the family gmail, and she was sick of deleting notifications etc for crap she had no interest in. Anyways, I got paranoid of all my accounts becoming one big jumbled mess, and I turned all synching off. Now I'm worried I'm missing out on a lot because of that.

Can someone give me (or point me to) an idiots guide to how synching actually works? Thanks

All your accounts will remain separate. You have separate mailboxes in the gmail app and also in the samsung email client.

What you receive in one, remains in one and what sends in one, remains sent from that one only. The accounts are not merged.

Its the same as Microsoft outlook. You can have multiple inboxes but just because its all in one client, doesn't make them all the same mailbox.

Hope this clarifies. Each account you sync, sync's interdependently.

Ok, I was confused about what synching actually did then. I assumed anything I did in one account would go to the other ones, like if someone sent me an email to my one gmail account, it would show up in the inbox of the others if synching was on
