Hello and welcome to Android Forums. Hopefully I can help you with your problem.
Try placing your phone in a bag of white rice for a few days. That will help draw out any moisture that may be in your phone.
Do you set your phone in front of an air conditioner vent or anything like that? That can cause moisture to form inside the phone itself. It can also cause damage to the hardware.
Did you actually send it in to Samsung? If so then the factory warranty option is out.
You may want to check with your carrier. Even though you are locked into a contract, if you tell them you are going to cancel and pay the cancellation fee, there's a good chance they may be willing to work with you. I damaged a phone when I was with AT&T and still had almost a year left on my contract. I told them that if they didn't offer to help with a new phone or at least a discount then I would cancel my service, fee or no fee. Your carrier wants to keep your business. If you are willing to extend your contract with them for another 2 years, they will more than likely send you a new phone. I accepted their offer of starting a new 2 year contract from that date and they sent me a new phone.
I would see what options your carrier is willing to offer you.
