Love it

I bought this phone yesterday and well maybe i haven't had it for enough time to really "love" this phone, but so far, i do. if we compare the Opt. with the Est. exactly how they came out of the box, the esteem definitely takes the lead performance wise. no lag going from homescreen to homescreen, scrolling through the drawer, opening apps, and even surfing the internet. the 4g is fast, like really fast (i get full 4g bars here in downtown sacramento) i will be doing some speed tests shortly and will post pictures up. the only thing missing is root of course, but that will come later just as i waited for a root for my optimus...good things come to those who wait...or something like that haha.

UPDATE: Quadrant Benchmark Score: 1950. For now you'll have to take my word for it, or try it yourself since I'm not rooted and can't take a screen picture.

Don't forget to let us know about battery life, and CONGRATS.

for this i'll have to let it charge all throughout the night just to make sure the battery is 100% juiced. then i will use it like i normally used my optimus (lots of texting, playing angry birds, using the facebook app, checking this forum, and reddit). first test will be with the 4g on, then i will let it charge another night and the next day i will do the same but w/o 4g and see how battery time compares. someone might do this before me so if i'm late i tried my best.

Also test the front facing camera ok

the front facing camera works good. i had it on picture mode and it looked great, but once i switch to video more the quality is a little less great...not a big difference but it did...now that was while recording, but the actual video while i played it back looks great.

thats some good info. The best way to test the video capability has to be on skype.

i'm currently running gingerbreak...about 1-2 minutes in and still going...lets see how this comes out...video on skype was really smooth, took a video and it's also smooth...will be posting those after i root it (if i can) if not then i'll do it after gingerbreak exits out

The phone in that video was a MetroPCS tester unit given to employees. LeakforYou got it, and I uploaded it. Someone said Metro may have made some changes in the final release so that particular root method may not work. I'm going to try to buy mine this afternoon and find out. ;)

If that exploit doesn't work anymore, another one will be found in a few days! :D

Run Quadrant two or three times in a row without exiting - I've seen mine go as high as 2200+
