Low audio volume

Nope, it was me who said it's fixed in 2.3, this menu still works in 2.2 i did it when i had 2.2

Where are you from?

I live in Ireland. I can call up the menu but pressing 5 does nothing, pressing any other number takes me into those menus but not 5.

I am gonna try Downgrading from 2.3.5 to 2.3.0 and then see if i can select option 5 audio. - will let you know the outcome .....

i have the problem with mine. tried the debug menu, but im on 2.3.6. there is no Audio option.

I got round the problem by using PowerAmp for the music side of things. Up the preamp to max and increase all the EQ sliders until its loud enough with the main system volume on max but not too loud to audibly distort.

Its a fudge but it gets round the problem OK.

I answered there - a guide, how-to use Samsung "Service Menu" to increase volume, not only for Froyo, but works atleast for Gingerbread (android 2.3.6) too, i hope 4.0+ will support it too.

GT-S5570 headset: GALAXY MINI Service Menu did not work for number 5 - Audio. 2.3.4 or 2.3.6.
Found on XDA forum titled "[MOD] Galaxy Mini S5570 louder headset HARDWARE MOD" - thank you Th3_uN1Qu3. I guess when the EU got worried about damaged hearing Samsung just stuck in resistors that will certainly protect hearing but unfortunately reduce volume too much.
I effectively shorted these out - perfect. A colleague suggest trying PCB track 'paint' or car rear window heating element repair 'paint' to achieve same. LOOK AFTER YOUR HEARING!
