Low Headphone Volume Fix?

So I just got the G2 this weekend. I do not have bluetooth capability on my truck and use a headphone cable to listen to iHeart Radio. I've got the media volume at 100%, but I've got to crank the volume on my truck way, way up in order to hear. I've also tried with headphones - good high quality, in ear monitors - with the same problem. Sound quality is very good, but the lack of volume is definitely a negative out of the box.

Is there a fix for this?

Mine works well and has very high volume. Maybe yours has a problem.

So obviously you've not rooted so your device sends to have a fault. Maybe you should return it.

return it due to defect, since rooting voids warranty.

Yes... XDA will have some nice step by step instructions. Rooting isn't for everyone so read up before you pursue it.

I have no idea if your phone has an actual issue, I only know the G2 seems to play at a lower volume than my past phones.
