i have a friend who is looking to remove apps there were factory installed to free up some memory... maybe root his phone . im not very familiar with this phone... maybe give me a link to further answer my question or directly help ? thanks much . <3

First thing would be root the phone. I used Gingerbreak when I had the Ally. Then start looking into bloatware removing apps. Honestly even after removing them.you can run into memory issues. I'd recommend rooting and looking into a custom Rom. That's the route I took.

Yup, to remove bloatware you'll need to root the phone to gain access to the System partition. Once you've done that you'll be able to delete these from the OS.

You'll need to go to the Root forum for this phone:
Ally - All Things Root - Android Forums

You'll find the instructions needed to root that thing and get your custom flash on! :D

Good luck and if you've got any questions please let us know. :)
