Help Low storage space!

TheAtheistReverend

Anybody want a peanut?
I just want to share my surprise and amazement that while updating GO launcher I was presented with the long forgotten "low phone storage space" warning in my status bar! It went away after the update, but WOW! I hadn't seen that since using my Eris. I used to have to constantly monitor my apps and delete ones I didn't use as much to avoid that, but I never thought I'd run into that with this phone.
I'm running Nit's stock "M" and have 109 user apps installed, 1GB used and 1.02mb free space shown in settings>apps.
What do you have for number of apps, used space, free space, and what are you running?

Those still exist?? I haven't had one since I switched from the LG Ally... And that was on a daily basis.

Blackberries are bad for it? Never owned one. On the Ally I had a max of 10 apps and I had to clear the cache or even reboot every time I browsed the web. Otherwise i could forget replying to texts.

My first BB had 64MB of memory, for the OS, apps storage and running the phone. If you let the free RAM dip below 10 MB the phone ran extremely poorly. My next BB had 126MB and it seemed like the greatest thing ever....but still sucked.

Oh, and apps didn't always give back the memory when you closed them so you had to reboot at least once a week to free up the RAM. In fact, that was such a requirement that there were apps that would auto-reboot daily at a scheduled time (like 3AM).

Now that is poor memory management.....

Yep, I remember those dark ages. I do miss BlackBerry email capabilities though.
