Assuming I keep CPU speeds the same as stock, is a low voltage kernel going to save my battery life significantly?

this makes me ask... are there any stock voltage overclocked kernals out there? because i remember staying lower and running faster when the OC kernals were first introduced.

Now i hit 50c+ frequently, and im on P3 1ghz LV kernal and its the coolest ive run
