Low Volume on Ringtone

eltee

Newbie
I have had my Commando for 4 days. I was wearing it in the OEM holster and I could barely hear the ringtone. On my Ravine, in its OEM holster, it was loud enough that people around me could hear it. Is this common? It's not real low, just not as loud as my Ravine.

Have you rebooted it?
When mine was new, I did a demonstration for a friend....holding it under the stream of a water fountain to show off the ruggedized features.

After this, and until I rebooted, the ring volume was weak. It has not happened again.

Ok, I turned it off and turned it back on. Still low (IMHO) volume and certainly noticeably lower than my Ravine. Is this normal or a flaw? Thanks for helping.

Coming from a Nextel i365, I find that none of the factory ringers are very loud. You can take your favorite ringer, use audacity to bump up the amplitude, and then put it on your phone. It helps a bunch when working on, in, & around heavy equipment.

I got the rest of the ringtones to get a little louder. May have been the reboot (I turned off, removed battery). I have one old ringtone from my old phone (Ravine) that is saved on the mem card. It is of my daughter giggling. She recorded it for me a while back but when I use it as "music" for a custom ringtone for calls from her, it remains soft. Is anyone able to bump up the volume on this for me? I can barter, even pay a fair amount if someone can do this. It has sentimental value, plus it is pretty cute. THANKS for any offers to help.

No money is needed.
It's a pretty easy thing to do.
If you still need help with it, send me a PM.
I understand where you're coming from.

Just to ease your mind...
I don't have the Ravine, but I do have the G'zone Rock.
The speakers on the Rock are louder AND clearer than on the Commando,
and I have no idea why.
It really seems Casio has gone backwards in that way.
The Commando is much bigger, but the sound is weaker.
